Speech and Language Pathologist with 20 years experience working with elementary, middle and high school students in school settings. Extensive experience working with students with low reading skills; auditory comprehension and verbal expression language disorders; articulation disorders and language disorders associated with autism and developmental delays. Tutoring for students having difficulty comprehending what they read and/or expressing their thoughts and ideas in writing. My tutoring will help them understand the main idea, recall details, make inferences and draw conclusions about their reading material. Students will learn compensatory strategies to help them improve these skills. My tutoring will help students with low vocabulary skills who may not know words with multiple meanings or may not understand figures of speech and non-literal language. Students will also learn effective ways to prepare for tests. IEP goals can also be addressed. Services can be provided at local libraries or at student’s home
