Leanne is a dedicated professional who is committed to the holistic best interests of the students and families she supports. She has a working knowledge of Ministry requirements of the curriculum, particularly at the Secondary level (High School). Leanne is skilled at modifying the curriculum to the students level and/or implementing accommodations to suit their profile as a learner (familiar with working with students with various learning disabilities). Over the course of her teaching career I can attest to the fact that Leanne has recurrently gone above and beyond to support the students. Her passion and enthusiasm is infectious, and she truly engages even the most at risk youth in committing to their education. You may have noticed that Leanne and myself share a last name, as we are sisters . With this said, I can assure you that nepotism is not a factor of consideration in this recommendation. I am a School Social Worker, and in this role I have had the opportunity to meet and work with various teachers teachers over the course of the past 9 years and I can honestly say that Leanne is an exception to the norm. She has taken on various student focused initiatives to engage youth in their education, to which I have provided clinical consultations on or have participated in. It is this abstract thinking, I believe, that makes Leanne stick out from the crowd. She is continually trying to broaden her knowledge base and find alternative means by which she can engage youth in academia. I would recommend Leanne as a tutor for any student, particularly students who are disengaged in there education and have complex learning profiles.

Leanne was extremely helpful and very knowable in a variety of topics. She was extremely organized and well prepared. She went out of her way to make sure that she was available and could work around my schedule. I would highly recommend her to anyone or any age group!
