I worked very hard throughout my academic life and earned a full academic scholarship to Stanford, enjoyed my time there immensely and have now recently returned home. I also offer help in the college guidance process by giving advice about what the top schools are looking for (such as geographic diversity, meaning it is easier to get into schools farther from where you live), and scholarships you may not know to look into. Many guidance counselors in my opinion discourage students from taking the risks(applying to ALL of their dream schools and not necessarily even having a "back-up"- I didn't and that surprised my guidance counselor) that they need to in the college application process to achieve the college admissions outcome that they deserve.
