Hello. I am a licensed Special Education Teacher with a Masters in Education and specific training in reading and literacy. I have my own materials and have worked with elementary age students to bring them up to grade level in reading through the Minnesota Reading Corps. I have also taught arithmetic and beginning algebra, American History, and Music and Movement, in the middle school setting. I teach English to elementary students in China during the early morning hours and provide substitute teaching services to charter schools through Teachers on Call. I enjoy helping students reach their potential by building on their strengths and interests. I would be available twice a week throughout the summer and could do both math and reading. I request $20 per hour to cover instruction and materials costs. We can meet at a location near you, such as a library or even a coffee shop and you could enjoy an hour or so break too.
