Hello, I am a 22 year old, female, senior in college. I live and attend school in NYC. I am an intelligent, punctual and respectful person. I am a non-smoker. I will be beginning my last college semester this Spring, after which I will be earning my degree in English. I was on the Dean's List for the Spring 2013 semester. I have worked with children of ages 4-13 in academic and paid positions. I have 8 years in babysitting children, helping with homework, and providing supplemental educational and physical activities after school. Two years of experience working in the South Bronx as a tutor in an after school program. Fingerprinted with the Board of Health. Able and willing to help older children with essay writing, and all creative projects. Experience with dance and performance art*, so I can help children that are interested in performance art to gain a better understanding and appreciation. *I have not been professionally trained in any specific styles of dance; I have performed on stage in two musicals for recreational purposes besides which I have partaken in multiple plays during summer theater camps, also for recreation. **Until the Spring Semester begins on January 27, I have open availability; after the start of the Semester, my availability will decrease drastically as I will be taking six classes, including an Honor's Seminar. I will be more than willing to provide parents with all the necessary documentation and references to ensure that I can be trusted with their children, and to hold tutoring meetings in public places such as libraries so that everyone feels safe and comfortable.
