Hello my name is James Durham and I'm currently a Junior at Del Oro High School in Loomis California. I would like to tutor you in History and Spanish! I Know that my age could be off putting and say that I am not qualified to tutor but my experience says otherwise. During my middle school years I participated in AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) classes, where we as students prepare to become college ready. While in this class I chosen to help advance other students via tutoring, this was a benefit for myself and the students that I helped. It was during this class that I learned how much I enjoyed helping another person achieve their goals. This past year (2016-20...) Del Oro implemented a tutoring program that I was asked to participate in. My choice of subject was US History. Students that I tutored went from D's and F's to B's allowing them to move from their Junior year into their Senior year. I did all this even though I had yet to take the class which is not offered until junior year. Spanish is another subject that I have excelled at. I have taken HS Spanish 1, 2 & 3 passing Spanish three with an A, and my overall GPA (in Spanish) being a 3.6. I really do take Spanish to heart because it opens up many career paths. And because I enjoy the culture and heritage of my ancestry. I hope that my qualifications and my love of these subjects will encourage you into hiring me!
