Hello! My name is Lei and I am a fifth-year student at the University of Calgary where I am currently finishing up my Bachelors of Arts in English. I have a natural affinity for reading and writing, and I love sharing my passion for learning with kids. I am looking for a casual part-time tutoring job. I have experience teaching kids (ages 7-14) as I volunteered for the Calgary Public Library's Creative Writing Club program, so I can help your little ones practice reading and writing for their classes. I am very familiar with the Alberta curriculum and have free access to it (available on SOLARO through the Calgary Public Library) so you can be sure that my lesson plans will be in sync with what your child is learning from school! I can also read, edit, and help those from grades 8-12 who are learning how to critically read texts and create persuasive essays. I am happy to do online sessions and I can be flexible with pay/hours if you need it. When the time permits, I am more than happy to come into your home to tutor if done safely. Thank you so much!
