Hello! Tutoring has been a passion of mine for several years now. In my mind, the goal of tutoring is not just to help student's grasp the content that they are struggling with, but to help them develop stronger study skills, build more confidence about themselves and about their schoolwork, and overall, gain more of an appreciation for education itself. Accomplishing all these goals simultaneously seems challenging, but is actually very easy to do! I am an experienced tutor who has worked several jobs with an array of students - ranging from developing my own daily lesson plans to teach a kindergartener how to read and do basic math, to helping a business professional learn Microsoft Excel to complete tasks at work. I have worked an uncountable number of sessions both privately and through learning center. The subjects I am most proficient in are math, science, SAT test prep, and reading/language arts, but I have also have gotten good reviews from tutoring subjects within the engineering, social studies, and elementary education domains. I have a true love for academia, and I find great joy in tutoring and helping others on their educational journey. Being high-achieving myself, I have the personal belief that there is no limit to the amount of potential a student has. Reaching any academic goal can be done with discipline, hard-work, and confidence. I try to instill confidence in my students and help them with organization and study skills that help them feel strong in their own capability to succeed. I am very versatile, and I attempt to match my teaching style to the needs and learning style of the student. I aim to understand the goals of the student to determine the main objective of the session, and I always make sure the session ends with a "game plan" to give students direction outside of tutoring. I am interested in helping a wide age range of students, I am open to discussion about rate and scheduling, and I am a very easygoing person. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about my tutoring services. I hope to hear from you soon!
