Welcome to my page! I love tutoring and am always looking to help new students. Please read the descriptions of my tutoring services below. All tutoring can be offered online. Prices vary per subject and level. ELEMENTARY TEACHING I am a P/J teacher who has taught and tutored English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Art. I also taught Primary French using the AIM Language Learning program for two years. Ontario French - $35/hr - Reading, writing, and speech-based learning supported by AIM gestures and stories. Ideal for students transitioning into French Immersion programs. French/Math Homework Support - $35/hr - One hour of homework support for anglophone students who need help completing Math homework (in French or in English) or French homework. Other Elementary Homework Support - $30/hr - One hour of individualized homework help in any subject with additional subject instruction as needed. Ideal for social studies projects, science fair projects, literacy support, and other Independent Novel Study - $30/hr - Reading and writing support for students in grades 4-9. We can work on an Independent Novel Study based on the student's interests and skills. A great summer literacy booster or a good independent project for students who are seeking a challenge. Creativity Support - $30/hr - I offer this support to two students and it has been really rewarding and successful. As a creativity support tutor, I work as a coach to help students achieve their creative goals (ie. writing a novel, building an art portfolio, cultivating a sketchbook). We make a plan, build core skills, and focus on the skills and ideas these students are most passionate about. This is a great compliment to regular school work for gifted and talented students. HIGHSCHOOL UNIVERSITY WRITING HELP I have an MA in English, I have won several essay awards, and I have taught university-level English courses (Dalhousie University). I guarantee that I can help boost your grades in humanities courses. One-Time Essay Bootcamp - $50 for one hour - No appointments at the writing centre? If you have an essay, assignment or project that needs a makeover, we can spend one hour perfecting your writing so that you can hand in something clear and polished to your instructor. Extra-Time Essay Bootcamp - $75 for an in-person hour AND extra editing time - If your essay needs more attention, I can edit it independently before our in-person appointment and then explain my edits to you. This will ensure that your final assignment is in great shape and that you build the skills to self-edit in the future. Writing Skills Tutoring - $40/hr - If you're looking to build your writing skills, we can have hourly sessions to build your understanding of writing structure, English grammar, and best practices. Ideal for those facing English Language exams or major writing assignments.
