Tutor in Chandler, Arizona
My name is Michael Chen, and I'm a graduated senior from Hamilton High School.
During my four years at high school, I've tutored many peers and friends in various math subjects, including Algebra and below, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra with over 500 hours of tutoring experience. I specialize mainly in Calculus (AB, BC, and Calc3), but I am comfortable teaching any math subject offered in primary/elementary/secondary education institutions, with the exception of statistics and probability. I also regularly help classmates understand science concepts, mostly of topics in the honors and AP chemistry curriculum. I can work well with anyone from kindergarten to college level.
In addition to traditionally STEM subjects, I am a diligent essay proofreader and proficient in music theory/composition, so I can provide assistance in these areas as well.
Having taken numerous forms of standardized testing (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP), I can also tailor my tutoring to help students score higher on these exams, specifically the math and writing portions of these tests.
Tutoring can take place at a public location (usually a library or Starbucks), at the student's house or my house, or over online media such as Skype, Facebook, and Google Hangouts. I charge $20-$30 per hour, but price is negotiable.
