Hello, Is your child struggling to learn in school? Are they finding themselves lagging behind their peers? As the eldest of two siblings currently navigating through the jungle that is elementary school themselves, I can truly understand where your child is coming from and work with them towards achieving their full potential! My name is Michelle, and I am a high school senior attending Sheldon High School. My current profile and qualifications includes a GPA of 4.17 (w), 1400 Lexile-tested reading score (since freshman year, college-leveled), 2100 SAT score, seven advanced placement classes totaled, an early acceptance into medical school, a fluency in both English and Vietnamese, and a surplus amount of experience and patience when it comes to interacting with children. If I had to choose, I would say that my top five traits would be diligent, positive, communicative, empathetic, and conscientious. I will do in-home tutoring or local library sessions primarily within the Elk Grove/Sheldon area, as well as in nearby parts of Sacramento. I am willing to tutor for up to five days a week, two hours per day for $22/hr, or $25 if with two children. I am completely willing to aid with homework help as well as tutor in English, writing, grammar, and math up until Algebra. The way I primarily tutor is through workbooks and illustrated examples as to grasp a better understanding of the material. Did you know that there are three main styles of learning? There are the visual learners, auditory learners, and kinesthetic learners -- and the best students are the ones who are able to learn through all three mediums. As a tutor, it is my plan to help your child grow through all three ways as to better prepare themselves for the future. For example, I enjoy coming up with innovative, creative ways to reinforce knowledge within the brain and reapply it to new problems (a strategy that I personally use to study for myself); this is one of the key ways I plan on aiding your child.
