Greetings! My name is Danielle. I graduated with a Bachelor of Art's in Elementary Education, Summa Laude, from the University of Arizona. I earned my State of Arizona Teaching Credential for Kindergarten through eighth grade in 2012. In addition, I obtained my K-6 California Teaching Credential in February of 2014 and I currently teach 3rd grade. I provide intervention for students who are not performing at grade level in any subject. I use proven teaching techniques to train new learning patterns, and provide new ways to process information. This yields a better way to master material, providing your child with the opportunity to succeed in any learning environment. I remember feeling discouraged as a child because I felt that a handful of my teachers looked right through me. I was shy and found it difficult to muster up enough courage to raise my hand and ask the teacher for help. As a result, I quickly fell behind in both reading and math and lost confidence in my academic abilities. I became discouraged because it seemed that all my efforts never paid off. As an educator, I often refer back to my feelings at that point in my life in order to ensure that I provide a comfortable learning environment that allows my students to reach their full academic potential. I assess my students' learning (both formally and informally) to determine if any topics need to be readdressed and to determine how much they have learned. I truly enjoy getting to know my students individually. Students benefit the most academically when they feel that their teachers truly care about them as a person. I take the time to get to know my students' interests, hopes, and fears and develop a trusting relationship. Learning cannot occur unless trust is established between the student, the teacher, and the parents. I will collaborate with you and/or your child's classroom teacher to create personalized curriculum to fit his or her needs. Likewise, I will assess your child's learning style and study skills and adapt my instruction accordingly. Your child will learn how to learn. I am looking forward to working with you and your child.
