I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Math and a Master's degree in Computer science and Project Management. During my undergrad years, I was a Math tutor for 4 years and helped several students with their homework. After my master's degree in computer science, I continued to tutor elementary school kids in my neighborhood (grade k-6) with their Math, English (spelling and grammar), science and other subjects as needed.. I also have 15 years of experience in Project Management and have helped several out of college grads and employees with Project Management tips. I create a comfortable atmosphere for the best possible learning environment. I have had tremendous success, both with bright students who want to get ahead and struggling students who need some extra help. I keep my rates low enough that students often work with me for several years . They may be behind when they begin, but they catch up quickly and then continue with tutoring for the advantages it brings. As a tutor, I emphasize on 3 things: 1) Ensure that the student doesn’t just know a concept, but actually understands it. 2) Ensure that I teach to the student, not to the textbook. 3) Ask questions to develop a comfort level with the student.
