I am a recently retired teacher from both the public and private sectors specializing in core math, reading, and writing. You will find me professional, experienced, and credentialed. I have taught second grade for many years and recently retired from teaching Core Math, Reading, English, and Writing in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I prefer to work with students who are will to try and have had great success both inside the classroom and outside, offering one on one assistance. I was born and raised in the San Joaquin valley having graduated from Fresno State. My teaching credentials were obtained through Chapman University. Currently I reside in Tulare with my wife, Marilyn, who is also a retired school teacher, although she still works part tome for Tulare City Schools. Any teacher can show books and lesson plans to students. You'll find that my strengths are loving, engaging, coaching, encouraging, and challenging my students to achieve higher levels of learning, have more confidence, and really feeling good about themselves. I believe learning can and should be fun, not a tedious chore that just has to get done. Tutoring can be done either as my house or yours.
