Hello, My name is Nick and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher qualified to teach any subject grades 3-8 and Math/Sciences for grades 9-12. I am currently employed as an Occasional (Substitute) Teacher for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board and therefore I have all sorts of experience in every subject from K-12. Experience: I have experience developing lesson plans, using assistive technology, teaching students with exceptionalities like ASD, mental illnesses, gifted, etc., since I have been employed with WCDSB. I have volunteered and taught in all levels of math offered at the high school level. As a result, I am familiar with the curriculum, developing differentiated ways to reach all types of student learners, and learned how to engage and keep students motivated to learn. I also have lots of tutoring experience. I worked for Kumon, a math and reading centre dedicated to helping students succeed in those subjects. I also organized and ran a group of University of Waterloo/Laurier tutors for a nightly tutoring session at St. David's High school for 2 years.
