I have a year's worth of experience working on a college writing center, where I worked collaboratively with college students to find, discuss, and address problems that arise at any stage of the writing process. Additionally, I served as a contributing editor for my college's research journal, and am well-versed with either technical or creative writing. My hours are flexible and my rates negotiable. This is a great resource for college and high school students in any discipline. My tutoring style is not one where the writer sits quietly and feels judged while I mark their paper with a red pen; rather, I strive to work communicatively, to discuss and to address perceived problems in a manner that fosters in the writer a sense of independence and growth. I want to collaborate with students and help them understand and work through the whole of the writing process, rather than showing them a paper that received an "A" and telling them to make their own work look like that.
