I am Alicia Cano and I am the Sole Proprietor of The Music Tutor, offering musical education tutoring and training services in the Medford, Ashland, and Central Point areas of Oregon. The Music Tutor is a program that offers musical tutoring for a variety of musicians for a variety of ages. The Music Tutor offers musical education from Early Childhood to aspiring & experienced instrumental musicians. We offer an impressive musical background specializing in flute and woodwinds and also an early childhood teaching background with coordinating training & qualifications needed to be a music tutor. The Music Tutor hopes to offer outstanding musical education and inspiration to a new generation of young musicians seeking to expand their musical knowledge and become familiar with expressing their talent and passion. We offer a variety of programs for a reasonable price. Below we have listed our offered services. *Intro. to Music/Early Childhood Music Ed., 30 mins.-1.5 hrs. ($5 per child 10 & under per session OR $8 per young adult 11-18 yrs. per session.) *"How to Read Music" Classes, 30 min.-1.5 hrs. (Same pricing as previous) *Beginner- Advanced Flute Tutoring, Individual ($15/hr.) *Beginner-Intermediate Woodwind Tutoring ($15/hr.) *Woodwind Sectionals, Individual ($9 per student per hour.) *Band Sectionals, 3 people ($10 per student per hour.) *Ensemble Sectionals, 2 people ($9 per student per hour.) *Intro. to Music Theory, Individual ($15/hr.) *Intro. to Music Theory Class ($10 per student per hour.) Classroom discounts are available! Call for details. The Music Tutor offers services in public revenues, such as school band rooms, marching band practice fields, churches, playgrounds, etc. Please reserve ahead of time where you would like to practice with a Band Director, Pastor, etc. in a place with proper acoustics. Plan accordingly for accompanists & piano/keyboard availability if necessary. Practices can be held outdoors. It is recommended that outdoor instrument rehearsals are reserved for music (such as marching band music) that will be expected to be played outside for tuning purposes. The Music Tutor DOES NOT offer services in private revenues such as homes (for safety and acoustic reasons) unless the Guardian(s) give special permission. Charges are typically due the day of service with the exception that a payment plan has been arranged with the tutor.
