Spanish and Biology Tutor My name is Brooke, and I just graduated last May with a B.S. in Environmental Science and B.A. in Spanish. I hope to get an advanced degree in a field of biology in the future. I have 4 years of experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in all subjects, and 1 year of experience tutoring college level biology and Spanish. I also taught outdoor/sustainable farming and environmental science education at a farm in Cincinnati last summer to kids ages 4-12. Biology: I have a bachelors degree in environmental science. I took AP biology in high school, so I am familiar with the course rigor and curriculum. I am also confident teaching all sciences through the high school level, as I took physics, chemistry, and organic chemistry in college. I did research at the University of California at Davis in the plant sciences department. Spanish: Grammar, literature, phonetics, culture, composition, and conversation. I studied for a semester in Nicaragua, and have spent time in Mexico speaking Spanish. I am confident teaching through the college level. Also, due to past experience and a liberal arts degree, I am confident in teaching all subjects through middle school, and some additional high school subjects. I have great writing skills, and I am willing to aid in editing and essay-writing. I am very flexible on time and meeting place. I live just south of Cherry Creek.
