I am willing to work with your schedule in order to create an arrangement that is suitable for you. Basically, I teach the history of Western philosophy from the pre-Socratics to the 20th century, with emphasis on continental rather than anglo-American thought. In particular, my focus is on metaphysics, although philosophical anthropology and political philosophy are secondary foci. Ultimately, you will receive the equivalent of a survey course ("History of Western Philosophy"), although with far more depth than you would find in any 100- or 200-level college philosophy course. I'm not going to pretend that this opportunity will produce any practical, material benefits for you.
