Tutor in San Jose, California

I am able to tutor in the following subjects: Math (through Algebra 1), English, Spanish and ESL. I am currently employed as an ESL Teacher in San Jose. I work with children of Japanese immigrants to improve their English Skills for school. The children I teach age in range from 4-18 years old and I adapt my teaching methods accordingly. Previously I was employed as an afterschool third-grade teacher. I taught my students Math, English-Language Arts and occasionally did a lesson outside of those areas such as history, emotional-wellness, etc. All of my students were at least one grade level ahead and some were two grade levels ahead during my time instructing. I teach using a growth mindset, which means I believe that every student is capable of learning with hard work and discipline.
